Awards Committee
The awards committee shall consist of the president and at least two members, but no more then four who are not officers in the ISTA. If the president is unable or unwilling to serve another officer will be appointed by the president to take his place. The chairman of the committee does not have to be an officer.

The committee will be responsible for choosing all award winners including Trapper Hall of Fame Inductees, Trapper of the Year and Youth Trapper of the Year by majority vote. There must be at least three committee members present, if there is less than three the president or chairman will find volunteers to temporarily serve for that convention.

If the committee feels other awards are warranted they have the authority to create them however any expenses associated with such awards must first be approved by the board of directors.

All names and info about nominations and activities of the committee will be strictly confidential and will not be shared with anyone outside of the awards committee. The year's Hall of Fame inductees, Trapper of the Year and Youth Trapper of the Year will be announced at the awards ceremony either at the membership meeting or before the auction depending on the convention schedule for that year.  Note: Current officers are not eligible because we do not want to appear to be patting ourselves on the back.

All award winners will receive a plaque with their name as well as having their name put on a plaque of the same title containing all of the past recipients, which will remain with the ISTA to be displayed at the ISTA booth at the convention as well as any other appropriate ISTA function.  The year will be from convention to convention.
