Welcome to the ISTA PDF Print E-mail

CoyoteThe I.S.T.A. is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to:

  • Conserving Indiana fur resources
  • Preserving trappers' rights
  • Increasing public awareness of trapping issues and benefits.

ISTA is a place to connect with other trappers. It offers programs and aids to those just learning the art of trapping and to those who have enjoyed trapping for a long time. Check out awards, scholarships, and trappers education and instructors courses. Take a few moments to meet the officers who keep ISTA going. Links to contact them are listed by their pictures. They would like to hear from you. Furbuyers of Indiana are listed for your convenience, as is a page of web links to other trapping organizations.

You'll be proud to be known as a member. ISTA hats, shirts, mugs and other items are available. To see what is available click merchandise.

Support HB1265 Hunting Preserve Bill PDF Print E-mail

There follows the transcript of an e-mail i received concerning Hunting Preserves.   Jack hayden of teh Indiana Beaglers Alliance requests that we rally support for HB1265 by contacting the House Natural Resource Committee. There is at least one House Natural Resource Committee member that has told the Antis that he will not vote for HB1265.  Gene Hopkins and Jack Corpus are working the state House hard to get votes against our hunting preserve bill.  Everyone needs to contact all of them, be respectful, business like, and courteous.  Ask them to support HB1265.  Rally everyone you can.  Make the calls.  We have worked long and hard to get here, lets not allow the Antis to take it away.
