| Directions for Raccoon Lake State Park: Raccoon Lake is located on State Road 36, just 5 - 10 miles west of Highway 231 and 36. The class will begin at 9:00 AM and last until 4:00 PM. Attendees should bring a sack lunch. Beverages should also be brought. |

| Trappers Education Course |
| Experienced trappers from the Indiana State Trappers Association, along with Indiana Conservation Officers and the Indiana Furbearer Program provide hands-on training and instruction. Trapper Education Courses are held throughout the state. Classes are free and open for all age groups. Students under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Register with the contact person listed for the class date you are interested in. While most of these courses are one-day events, the ISTA along with the DNR and conservation officers are offering the second annual 2-day trappers education camp on September 6 & 7. Instructors will teach the on trap preparation and selection, furbearer managment, location, proper fur handling and more through actual on-the-trapline experience. |
